For all of us who live in the United States, our news continues to focus on Covid-19 and how difficult life is here in the States for our emergency services, hospitals, businesses that are shut down and people under orders to “shelter in place”. India has a population of 1.067 billion people and limited means to stop or even control the spread of this virus. Until the orphanage is completed, the 70 children are divided among 3 homes. Imagine having 20+ kids in your house to feed and care for. No TV, no video games, many times no electricity for hours. It is a daily challenge to remind these children what social distancing is and to get them to do it! The rental homes for these orphan children are sanitized daily and the staff do their best to keep the children occupied and encouraged. Good Samaritan Missions continues to provide love and care during this season. We are thankful that the staff and children remain healthy.
Work on the orphanage has been stopped as of last month due to a nationwide lock-down. Our update includes pictures of the progress that has been made to date on the new facility. Please join us in prayer that the staff and children will remain healthy and that this pandemic will pass so that work may begin again. Our goal is to complete this orphanage building project as soon as possible and get the kids back home. Thank you for your prayers and support during this difficult time.

Update on the Kolluru Orphanage for April 2020
